Please see below the list of requirements for Jenny’s Tetra Pak Printing workshop on Saturday 10th October.
We currently have the maximum number of members we can accommodate. For this reason we are very sorry that we can’t welcome guests or new members to any of our meetings.
All current members are welcome. If you can not attend a meeting for any reason it would be helpful if you could send a message on WhatsApp so we have an idea of how many chairs and tables to put out.
REQUIREMENTS LIST
Please can everyone bring the following:
Tetra Pak Printing Workshop Requirements
Tetra Pak or similar packaging e.g. juice carton, tomato carton, shiny foil card from under smoked fish. I will have some available.
Inspirational image. This can be a sketch from your sketch book, or from a magazine. Choose an image that will work well in black and white, and if it is small enough you can trace it. For your first plate keep it fairly simple.
Pencil , scissors.
Tools to make your plate – craft knife, stiletto, awl, ball tools, a needle stuck in a cork, nail or an etching needle if you have one. I will have some tools to borrow, plus corks.
Heavyweight 300gsm cartridge paper (Snowdon is a good type). You could use thinner paper, but it needs to be fairly thick and smooth so that it takes a good print. I will have some available.
A tray to soak paper. I have a few.
Scrap of mountboard or old credit card, scrim, tissue paper/kitchen roll/newspaper, plain scrap paper, dessert or table spoon/baren, 2 old tea towels/J-cloths, cotton buds.
Block printing ink or intaglio ink if you have it – I will have some. Small lidded container and a plastic spoon if you don’t have your own ink.
Apron, gloves (optional).
Plastic table covering.
Useful, but not essential – baby wipes, old toothbrush, baking parchment,printing press.
